Hydrodown natural insulation is incredibly warm and highly water repellent. Goose down is treated with a durable water repellent, meaning it can resist rain for longer, dry quicker and retain its insulation even when it's damp. The clusters of down retain their loft even when wet and recover quickly even after being immersed in water, and just like untreated down it is highly compressible and offers an amazing warmth to weight ratio. Pertex Quantum is a windproof, water resistant and highly breathable fabric that is lightweight and highly packable. Constructed from very fine yarns, the fabric traps still air inside the jacket while allowing insulation to fully loft. The windproof properties help retain warmth and stop unwanted cold air from cooling you down while a durable water repellent (DWR) finish provides protection in light rain. Reflect Mesh technology reflects body heat back into your core, increasing the thermal efficiency of the jacket by up to 10%. The aluminium coated mesh acts as a reflector, reducing heat loss and reflecting heat generated back into the jacket, retaining the warmth you have created. Strategic stretch panels built into the garment to improve freedom of movement ensuring you are unrestricted during your chosen outdoor activity. An attached hood with stretch binding provides convenient protection from the elements, ideal for protecting the face and head against cold winds.
